Ashley Tamayo is a Mexican-American fine artist. She got her degree in Cal State University Northridge. Her focus is painting/drawing with acrylics and has a background in illustration. Ashley was born in Ventura County and was raised in a small town called Piru. She had her painting A La Carte exhibited at the CSUN Galleries in spring 2024.
She loves working with different mediums such as ceramic, digital works, and on fabric. She has gotten some of her practice at her job Color Me Mine using underglaze paints and sketching. Her goal is to connect her art with her culture and showcase the beauty of nature, real life experiences and still life’s. Ashley’s artist inspirations are Frida Khalo, and Jimena Agra, and Sofia Pavan Macias.
